Welcome to COFIL 2010.

It is with great pleasure we invite you at the 3rd International Symposium on Filamentation (COFIL 2010) which will be held in Crete, Greece, in June 2010.

The COFIL 2010 is the third of a very successful series of conferences organized every 2 years. The previous editions took place in Quebec (Canada) in 2006 and in Paris (France) in 2008.

This Symposium is addressed to scientists who lead fundamental and applied research in femtosecond laser filamentation in transparent optical media and applications, as well as scientists from other fields interested in the domain. The goal is to gather the majority of scientists working in this field and discuss the present status and future perspectives of the domain.

The 2010 meeting aims to enhance awareness of current research activities and recent developments, draw attendance from leading professionals from all over the world and bring together a large representative of top-level scientists and researchers of this domain. It is an opportunity for the whole community to meet, create new collaborations, share technical information and built trustworthy relationships internationally. 

This event will take place in a picturesque location on the charming island of Crete and in a top class resort (see Conference Venue).
