High Intensity Lasers and High field Phenomena (HILAS)
Mar 19, 2012 - Mar 21, 2012, Berlin, Germany

The aim of the High-Intensity Sources and High-Field Phenomena meeting is to assemble a multi disciplinary group of participants to present and exchange breakthrough ideas relating to the physics and applications of high field sources, and related developments in high intensity lasers and related technology. The conference topics include both fundamental science and applications of high field phenomena, as well as technical aspects related to source development. The latest research results in terawatt/petawatt lasers, amplification of a few cycle pulses, laser fusion technologies, EUV and X-ray sources based on lasers, plasmas in ultra high fields, advances in attosecond science and relativistic nonlinear phenomena are among the topics to be discussed. High quality experimental and theoretical contributions are solicited in any topical area related to the coverage of the conference, including the following: *High-peak power lasers and high-intensity laser-matter interactions *Recent progress in terawatt to petawatt lasers and the amplification of few cycle pulses *Laser technology for fusion and laser based EUV and X-ray sources *Strong field laser science including interactions with atoms, molecules, clusters, and plasmas *Advances in attosecond science *High harmonic generation, high-field rescattering physics, relativistic nonlinear phenomena, intense pulse propagation *Plasmas in ultrahigh fields, and laser based particle acceleration

May 06, 2012 - May 11, 2012, San Jose, United States

CLEO/QELS and PhAST has evolved into a dynamic six-day event that has successfully bridged the science and applications sides of the optics and photonics industry. CLEO/QELS offers high-quality programming

13th International Symposium on Laser Precision Miceofabrication (LPM 2012)
Jun 12, 2012 - Jun 15, 2012, Washington D.C

Modern technology increasingly relies on miniaturization and microfabrication to improve the performance of a wide variety of devices and systems. Lasers and laser processing are uniquely suited to a wide variety of microfabrication applications in both production and research environments, making these topics of significant interest to researchers in both industry and academia. The annual International Symposium on Laser Precision Microfabrication(LPM) is unique in that it allows researchers from a wide variety of fields to exchange ideas and techniques, and fosters dicussion on the latest research and technological development in laser micro- and nanofabrication.

Nonlinear Photonics (NP)
Jun 17, 2012 - Jun 21, 2012, Cheyenne Mountain Resort, Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States

The Nonlinear Photonics meeting is a venue for researchers interested in nonlinear optical processes in structures, devices and systems. The meeting covers all aspects of nonlinear photonics and is devoted to both temporal and spatial nonlinear effects. It covers computational as well as experimental aspects and discusses nonlinear material aspects as well as nonlinear systems.

INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON LASER-MATTER INTERACTION (WLMI-2012)
Jun 25, 2012 - Jun 29, 2012, Porquerolles, France

This meeting is the third edition of the “Workshop on Laser-Matter Interaction” after the first two editions held at Luminy (France) in October 2008 and at Porquerolles (France) in September 2010. Its primary purpose is to review recent progress, both theoretical and experimental, in the study of extreme nonlinear optics, ultrashort pulse propagation, ionization physics, parametric instabilities in laser-created plasmas, relativistic plasmas at ultra-high intensity, as well as warm dense matter regimes.

XVIIIth International Conference on Ultrafast Phenomena (UP2012)
Jul 08, 2012 - Jul 13, 2012, Lausanne, Switzerland

The 2012 Ultrafast Phenomena Conference will be the eighteenth in a series of conferences on advances in ultrafast science and technology. This meeting is widely recognized as the main international forum for gathering the community of scientists and engineers working in research and technology related to ultrafast phenomena. It is indeed a unique opportunity to bring together atomic, molecular and condensed matter physicists, physical chemists, biophysicists and scientists developing new tools, methodologies and techniques, all working on the science of ultrafast phenomena. These phenomena cover the time scales ranging from picoseconds to hundreds of attoseconds

4th International Symposium on Filamentation (COFIL 2012)
Oct 08, 2012 - Oct 12, 2012, Tucson, Arizona, U.S.A

The COFIL 2012 is the fourth of a very successful series of conferences organized every 2 years. The previous editions took place in Quebec (Canada) in 2006, Paris (France) in 2008 and Crete (Greece) in 2010. This Symposium is addressed to scientists who lead fundamental and applied research in femtosecond laser filamentation in transparent optical media and applications, as well as scientists from other fields interested in this field of research. The goal is to gather the majority of scientists working in this field and discuss present status and future perspectives.
